It if funny what impresses us when we are sponges soaking up knowledge in college.
I once had a senior level business course taught by a cool professor that sprinkled his lectures with real world examples that he had lived through. One of them concerned taking his Lotus 7 sports car into a 4 wheel slide around a corner and how at the time it was the most important thing in his life, but his priorities had changed.
Now 30 years later, I don't really recall what the class was about, but I own a Lotus......life is funny sometimes.
