domain change stuff

If all goes as planned, the URL for my weblog will soon be switching from a blogspot host to www.thepalinode.com. I'll probably be changing over on Monday, which means that my site will be unavailable for anywhere between ten minutes and twenty-four hours.

I tried to make this happen back in February, but for a series of ridiculous reasons that I still don't understand but may be related to my own stupidity, it didn't work. I'm hoping that everything goes smoothly, and that come this time next week, you'll be reading this at a swanky .com address. Update yer bookmarks and all that.

Carry on!

I think it is sort of cool that the blog will not be here for up to a day and then reborn somewhere else. It's a good theme for a story, or the beginning of a new cult.

Got your own server or are you going the GoDaddy route?

I'm sure this won't happen because you'll get the call for surgery this weekend, right? fingers crossed. I've been meaning to ask, what exactly are they going to do to you?

Neil - I could found The Church of the Risen Blog.

lotus07 - I'm doing a variant on the Godaddy route. The delay involved is mainly transferring the domain from Godaddy to Mydomain.

becca - What are they going to do to me? Apparently it's not an unusual surgery: a laminectomy and a discectomy. They're removing as much of the herniated disc as possible and creating more space around the spinal cord at the L4/L5 vertebrae.

i would like to be a missionary for your church, as a mormish girl - i have experience... i'll start looking for a black suit and a name tag.

diva - You understand that now I have to refrain from jokes involving the word 'missionary', right? You understand how difficult this is for me?
